Coach Riches has over 25 years of coaching experience. Riches brings a well rounded resume to his players including 3 years at University of South Carolina, 3 years at Marshall University, 1 year at West Virginia Wesleyan where he help win two National Championships. While at USC Riches coached several top student-athletes including two-time All-SEC performers Melinda Carter, Jessica Julin, and Sarah Lentz. Julin is currently the captain of the Finland National Team and Carter played in the WUSA. Before coaching at Marshall, Riches was an assistant coach at his alma mater, West Virginia Wesleyan, where they were national champions. Riches coached at WVWC during the 1994-95 season, in addition to working with the monitoring and directing of student-athletes as an academic advisor. With ODP experience in WV and SC, Riches brings a wealth of experience to the Technical Soccer Clinics LLC. He combines his educational background and professional soccer experiences to create a nurturing, yet challenging environment for players wishing to succeed. Riches also has head coaching experience at the club level, working with the Dream Team women's soccer team in Charleston, W.V. which were State Champions for three consecutive years. He is currently coaching director for the Lexington County Soccer Club in SC. Riches had an outstanding career at West Virginia Wesleyan where he was a two-time NAIA first-team All-American and was named ISAA/adidas Goalkeeper of the Year in 1993. In his freshman season (1990-91), Riches help lead WVWC to the NAIA National Championship.
